First off i want to thank all the recruiting guru's on here!
This is the first year i have followed recruiting and to be honest i dont know much about it. I am learning slowly only with you guys help.
As a long time vol fan (am only 23) since i was about five when i knew there was football this site shows me why i LOVE tennessee so much. The fan base here is awesome.

Im not sure if this is the correct forum so feel free to move if need be.
Once again thanks to volnation and the tennessee vols!!
Go vols

This year will be a mystery to some of us as well. The power of this staff in recruiting is amazing. There will be prospects everyone says we dont have a shot at but end up landing, ala BBrown. I am very excited about this next year recruiting wise. Here is the key tho, we MUST get a QB. When that happens watch out. And add on if we win 8 games, things will get crazy!

I would have to agree. I have been reading since the news of the change at the helm. Since October, I have been on VN everyday checking to see what new recruit we have landed. I am addicted. Thanks to all of you for your insight and opinions. I enjoy reading all of them. Go Vols!

welcome :hi:

I just started keeping up with recruiting since changing coaches too and while it can be very exciting and fun, it can also be very nerve-wracking like right now waiting to see if we're going to get Scrogggins or not...
I was here for the Bryce Brown saga and it was lots of fun. :p

I don't know if I'm the only female fan that enjoys reading the recruiting stuff or not.., but I do respect and appreciate all the work that Sab, Eric, JMV, and a few of the others put in to keep us informed.

It's nice to have a female presence in the recruiting forum. I'm glad you drop in on us. :victory:

Thanks Sab. :p

This is the first place I come in the morning with my cup of coffee and the last place I read before going to bed.....I was a nervous wreck reading about Scroggins calling UM late last night, but your posts reassured me enough that I got a pretty good nights sleep. I think I am taking this stuff way too seriously though because I was actually praying to God before getting up that I wouldn't come on here and read that he had commited to UF overnight..

HE has answered my prayer so far though....:)

There you go then. Glad I could help. :)

I'm taking it way too seriously too if you couldn't tell. If we lose Jesse, I'm taking a break from all of this. It's just going to drive me nuts.

I'm not nearly as confident as I once was on Scroggins.

Welcome ladyvolfan333. It is nice to have a female in here, as sab said. Following recruiting can get addicting because everyday something huge can happen that will make your school great for the next 3 years, or you can lose that big recruit to your rivals school. It is great. I love it.

I keep telling myself to take a break from it too, but can't seem to stop myself from checking in here several times a day.

I wish Scroggins would just commit somewhere already (hopefully to us)...if not here I would rather see him go to USC instead of Fla....the having to wait part is what I hate.:banghead2:

I remember following recruiting through the Knoxville News Sentinel back in the 1990s. That's all we had back then! I remember being so excited when I heard we had landed both Manning and Stewart...could not believe it. Since the intenet, recruiting has been an absolute obsession. I need help!

I used to be content to watch channel 8 WVLT at 6:15 and 11:15 every night to get my info....not anymore; can't wait that long..

I've always enjoyed this message board. And even if I do not post a lot I do like to see what's going on.
