Have you ever heard of something called Confirmation Bias? I was teaching a group of people about Confirmation bias in the workplace as well as their personal life today and used this website as a perfect example of Confirmation Bias. Basically it's when you are so firm in your beliefs (me included) that a person will ignore the opposing side of their view and go out of their way to prove they are more correct.

The election and the VN PF is a perfect example. No matter who you a for in this election, most people will either defend them or only look for the bad things on the opposing person to prove their point. The screwed up thing is, a person can present someone facts that what they think is wrong and it only increases their belief.

Anyway, always brings up some very interesting discussions

That's a good solution, but that is hardly what is being practiced in this country...

White people and their heritage are being attacked and demonized. Enough is enough. Every country on this planet has practiced slavery of blacks, whites, brown and yellow...

For those that are preaching equality...let's start doing just that..

BLM controversy erupts at Todd Beamer High School

In short....a female teen of color was involved in a fight. A resource officer intervened and had to apprehend her because she was out of control, based on officer's opinion and other onlookers opinions. Token parents, students didn't agree with the apprehension. A BLM sponsored protest was initiated the following week, with kids urged to wear all black to show support. Well, kids that didn't support this protest or chose not to partake....were bullied and called racist by "movement"...

This country, smh...

How about putting it a different way then.

Plenty of people, white people to be specific, don't hold any racist or sexist views and believe all people are created equal. However, those same people are made to feel shame for the extremely small minority that are racist based on the color of their skin only. So instead of actually making the distinction of "there are idiots out there, but by and large, most people don't believe in that" all are lumped into the same preconceived opinion that because they are white, they are racist.

And in case you missed that subtle reference, that's the classical definition of being prejudiced. A preconceived opinion not based on fact or experience.

So if the BLM movement and others that like to scream racism at every turn can provide any proof that all white people are racist based solely on the color of their skin, perhaps they should be looking in the mirror at who the racists truly are.

I don't think the BLM movement and other activitists think that ALL white people are racist. Ironically, I think that's a somewhat prejudiced view to assume because they are angry or upset about the mistreatment of African-Americans that somehow that means they think ALL white people are racist. Is there a small segment of them that may feel that way? Sure. Just like there are a small segment of white people who are racist as indicated in your post. However, to say ALL of those people think ALL white people are racist is exactly what you were trying to rail against.

Have you followed any blm protests? I mean you people defending them can't be this uneducated, or you're just refusing to admit the truth. All of their riots, oops I meant protests, have come when a criminal has been killed by police for being stupid. Heck, the actual cases you'd think they'd show up, nothing. Anyway, have you missed the videos of "we want death to cops", "burn down the white neighborhoods ", and the funniest of all us them telling white people they can go hold their own protests cause they don't want them with them. It's a racist group that hates white people, and the founder of blm has tweeted several times that he supports the attacks on innocent people and destroying property. I mean come on, there are videos all over the internet that prove everything I said.

You are likely correct that not all of the BLM movement thinks all white people are racist. However...

When the subject comes up so frequently about all white people being bad and racist, there tends to be more than mere coincidence. And furthermore, whenever someone says "all lives matter" they are immediately shouted down by many (I won't be absolute and say all) in the BLM movement as attempting to take away from the message about black lives. Well, hell's bells, shouldn't they be concerned with all lives? What about brown lives? Yellow lives? White lives? Red lives? If talking about police brutality and excessive force, shouldn't all lives matter if they are wanting change?

How many protests were held in Oregon for the shooting of Robert "Lavoy" Finicum? How about Daniel Kevin Harris? Or this guy?

When you decide to pick and choose what types of people you want to protest getting shot by cops, the overall message of your group is lost. Instead of saying "you are correct, all lives matter and we should be holding the police accountable in all situations where excessive force was used" the message becomes race-centric.
