There's a big stink about VV using the phrase "that's so gay" in a trailer for his movie The Dilemma. I've seen a few articles where people are calling it a "slur" and other things.

I'm not big on being offended because if most comedy doesn't offend someone, it's not that funny.

However people say damn and JC all the time yet nobody takes exception to that. Last night my wife even said "people say you play like a girl, throw like a girl and it's not considered a slur."

People make fun of religion, race, fat people, short people and just about everything else.

Why is it when you make fun of or use a phrase like "that's gay," that's crossing some sort of line?

How is it different than saying you "play like a girl" or something like that?

Vince Vaughn going on USO tours shows that he is a homophobe and probably a racist. Ask LG.

I don't see why people are getting all butt hurt (pun intended) over this. People getting all offended because someone says "that's so gay" need to quit acting like a bunch of sissies (once again pun intended).

Seriously though, someone is always going to be offended by what another may say, if we take it to extremes no one could possibly speak their mind. Not to mention we would become a nation of people with no sense of humor what so ever. People need to learn to laugh at themselves as much as they laugh at others.

i guess the theory there is that it paints being gay as something negative. i agree people are too sensitive though.

you have to understand the gay activists. they are miserable, they take it up the butt, so you know that can't be good in of itself.

so these people have to force the misery on the rest of the world. i read where 1 in 5 gay/bisexual men in big cities have HIV. they don't have much reason to laugh.

I find it hard to believe Joe hasn't been snatched up as a spokesperson for their add campaign yet. I mean if only the rest of the world heard this breakdown of the homosexual community they would begin to understand.
