The MOST reliable source for inside Vols info comes from Coach Doug Matthews. Last Sunday morning he stated that several current commits will either look the other way or be asked to since bUTch is in on some more top talent for '15.

Doug has predicted many things weeks in advance before made public that have turned out to be so. He was the VERY FIRST to tell us Maggitt would redshirt last season. Weeks before it actually happened. Many didn't believe that, myself included.

He also has been steadfast in his opinions that the Vols are recruiting Jennings to play QB and compete for the job. Not just as an athlete. He says they are so high on Jennings that they will move on from Gibson. Well, that happened.

Doug is to be taken seriously. He thinks that up to 6 mid state recruits could join this class that aren't currently committed. He still thinks Van Jefferson will end up in orange.

Who are these six midstate players?

I'll guess Vaughn, Phillips, Amadi, Martin, Jefferson...that's 5.

I'm kind of at a loss for the 6th unless he's talking about Perry or flipping someone like Donovan Sheffield

He said COULD join the class. He said he didn't want to mention names. He went on to talk about his strong relationships with high school coaches all through the state especially mid state.

I think Kyle Phillips from Hillsboro is kind of a most. What's the deal with him?

What about Vaughn from Pearl Cohn?
