See, that's the problem with you and the rest of the Towel Boys. You're fired up about bringing in guys who can beat Georgia and Auburn. I want guys who can play with the Michael Gilchrists and Austin Rivers of the world. The difference is that I care about winning shampionships, while your concern is fluffing your hero.

What's our record against Auburn the last 4 years? You can win a bunch of regular season games with guys like Hall. When it matters, those guys will accomplish nothing. Of course, all you're concerned with is making the NCAA Tournament so you can talk about how lucky we are that Tanning Bed continues to grace us with his presence. Those of us who actually want to do damage when they get there will just have to sit back and hope the Pump Brothers can finally dupe someone into fixing our problem for us.

Imagine how good our interior game will be next year if Hall matches Jurick's productivity.

Really, what this is about is you creating a standard just beyond what Pearl has or what you feel he will accomplish, so you can pursue your personal agenda under the guise of "criticism". The only people being duped are your circle jerk of followers on this site who buy into your nonsense.
Unimane - I'm just as frustrated as you with the people who take his word as gospel and now expect pearl to land 4 out of the five top players in every class and make it to the final four every year and win a championship every other year.
We shouldn't even offer guys like Golden. He is no good because the only other teams recruiting him were Virginia and South Florida. I guess Tyler Thornton is better because he was offered by Duke, Georgetown, and Villanova.
Oh and being the first to see an article on zagsblog makes you the most informed poster on this message board.
Everyone get on your knees in honor of the mighty Hat!!!!
I love exaggeration.
Also, I'd say if a guy is being recruited by Duke, Georgetown, and Nova, he should be a pretty good player. What have Virginia and South Florida done recently compared with the other teams?

The point of the comparison was pretty simple. When Golden committed, Hat did his typical Hat thing and blew it off like it was my grandmother committing. He claimed Golden was no good because only UVA and South Florida wanted him other than us.
I've watched both players play. So have Scout and Rivals. I would definitely take Golden over Thornton and based on their rankings, Scout and Rivals would too. Not saying Thornton isn't a good player, but a player's offer list does not determine their skill level. It was just another bologna attempt by Hat to criticize Pearl for no reason.
Bruce didn't really want him. He's saving the scholarship to sign another 400 pound center who blossoms and averages 10 points in his senior year in high school.
You and I both know that Crawford could never meet the exacting academic requirements that National Merit Scholars like Ramar Smith and Duke Crews had to in order to enroll in the Rhodes Scholar Prep Course Tanning Bed is running under the guise of a basketball program. What's funny is I flat out said Crawford to Memphis, then I was more or less attacked for it, then they either forgot about it or decided they no longer wanted him. Typical.
Exactly, hat is getting frustrated because he is the board bully. If he really just wanted to ignore me because of the reasons he stated, he could have done so a while ago. Instead, he did what he always does with his non-followers, he insulted, condescended and tried to bully them into leaving or accepting his authority.
But, when someone doesn't back down and actually shows some basketball acumen or simply some stones to stand up to him, he pitches a fit. Then, like any bully whose bubble has been popped, he leaves in a huff and puts you on the ignore list.
Such a pitiful sight.
Sure Golden is a good player. But do you really think he's as good as a guy who major programs like Duke and Georgetown are recruiting? I'd say they know faaaaar more about talent evaluations than Rivals and Scout
Exactly. I wish I was here at the beginning to see how Hat wooed so many people into being his e-slaves. Even when Hat is wrong, he has the Hatophiles (whoops guess I just broke a Hat copyright) to back him up.
Or in a real pinch he's always got the "I'm gonna block you" which, if this were the real world, would be "MOMMY!!!! that man hurt my feelings!!!"
