A source told me reporters from TMZ have been in Knoxville this week working on confirming a story that possibly involves Lame Kitten, some co-eds, alcohol and a late night car accident that quickly got covered up in mid-September.

Tony Basilio alluded to it in one of his recent blogs venting about Kitten's fly-by-night departure. I'm not a fan of how TMZ harasses movie stars in LA but one thing is for sure...if a scandalous rumor is true, they will find out and then expose the heck out of it. I wonder if the this scnadal possibly coming out may have added to the appeal of a**face skipping town so quickly. Stay tuned.

Can't see how this will be good for us, considering we would probably be part of the cover-up. :crazy:

Not really..it's very possible this happened without the University's knowledge...especially late at night and with Kitten taking off before any authorities arrived.

It's all good publicity if you're Kiffin, right?
I'm sure he was just doing it to try to get UT's media profile up a little more, and his wife will understand that it was all part of the job.

A guy I work with said a girl he went to school with and are pretty good friends showed him pics of a bunch of girls drunk in his UT car and something to do with his house. The guy is pretty legit.

Clay Travis hinted at this the other night 104.5. He said there were so skeletons in his closet that would come out.

word is TMZ is trying to find any girls/co-eds that can prove the rumor. Especially with Lame Kitten being in LA now, they want to hammer him. I'm sure those girls/co-eds stand to make a nice amount of $$$ with proof.

TMZ was able to break the Tiger woods story when other news agencies couldn't prove anything. If there is any truth to the story and TMZ is looking, they will find it.

Kinda undecided on this one...
Will look poorly on the University if true, and we don't need anymore bad publicity,

BUT, if it is true (which I really don't doubt), it would serve the jack..s right if he got his due.

Who would have been involved in the cover up, if UT is held accountable for CLK's transgressions?

Surely, this is not another AD responsibility.

I believe the cover up part was Kitten leaving the co-eds at the scene of the accident and getting a ride home from a random passerby (again, still rumor until TMZ or some other new source confirms). I don't believe UT was involved, but it is a crime for Lame Kitten to leave the scene of an accident.

I'm about 70% positive this story is true, but moving to Cal is the worst place for him to run! Prob thought Knoxville was too much of a shiiithole and it would never catch up to him! Good riddance to your whole family (except ur children)
