The AP Poll is the ONLY(Fair) Poll IMO.

I know this has been thrown around, but since the computers HATE US, the AP Poll is the only one I'll follow until they become fair.The Coaches Poll is a close second.The BCS is totally unfair, with a West Coast/ ND blend (of course).

When the AP becomes the most reliable poll the world of college football is in huge trouble.

I usually like a lot of your posts and even the ones i don't like, i usually don't really hate them either, because i know you say a lot of things out of just being TN fan...which is great. I admire the passion.

but this one....not so much. The AP is just as ridiculous as the others...they have us ranked ahead of Florida....which is no more right than the BCS having us ranked behind Cal...

and paying attention to the AP is nice, but they don't hand out any trophies at the end of the season...unfortunately for all of us the HArris poll (which is the biggest joke of htem all) the coaches and computers are what matter. Ignoring them won't make htem go away.

nothing personal buddy....but this is a knee jerk reaction to the FIRST BCS poll released...it will work itself out in the end, it almost always has.

I agree with every comment thus far. NCAA football needs some big changes. Will it happen soon? Doubtful...

I agree on the "doubtful" part. The AP is just as ridiculous as all of them. A bunch of writers who may or may not know anything more about football than what a 1st down is, voting on who the best team is. It's like me casting my vote for who the best doctor in town is. "The Powers That Be" think this makes sense and that's all that matters...but can you imagine how stupid it would sound if the NFL doing announced they were going to do it this way? Get to the end of the season and let the writers, coaches and computers vote on who gets to go to the Super Bowl.

Its not as big of a joke as the other polls are at this point. Thats about it.

The BCS will probably change their ways once they know you've given up on them.

IMO, the BCS is not only NOT ruining college football, it's doing exactly what it was designed for and making people talk about college football more than ever.

I agree 100% that it's doing what it was designed to do and it's not ruining college football, but it's still the most retarded system for deciding a champion in the history of sports. Sports are supposed to be played out on the field.

You beat me to it while I don't think we should be ahead of UF cause they beat us I do think there is a huge difference in the fact the Cal game was a beatdown while at the same time UF won by one and was behind most the game big difference.

Us being ranked ahead of UF is a little differant than Cal being ranked ahead of us.

We lost to UF by 1 point, Cal lost to us by a whole lot more, and Cal is in a weaker conference than us and UF is in the same conference. Adding in the UF just lost right before the poll came out, I think its more justifiable to have UT ranked ahead of UF than to have Cal ranked ahead of UT.

AP poll is always biased against Southern teams.
I have never had any use for it

Maybe more Southerners should learn to read and write well enough to one day hold an AP card, report on college football, and, just maybe, vote in the AP Poll.:hi:

Who would ever want to hold an AP card?
An vote in the AP poll? Why would you ever want to do that.
They will neve vote a suthrn team in when you have ND or Ohio St. or Suthrn Cal.

Good lord, I am sick of hearing about how the whole world hates the south. The AP doesn't like the south... ESPN doesn't like the south..... If you don't like the poll that's fine but, don't say they have an anti southern/tennessee bias.

Check this site out. It has writers who make up the poll and who they voted for. In many cases states in the south are represented rather well. For example North Carolina having 3 votes, Tennessee having two while New York has 0. I guess that's the anti southern bias showing again. Sorry not trying to attack anyone. That stuff just bugs me.
