The Atlanta Braves Thread

Well duh.

They could destroy Michigan and I still won't think they're good.

If this is how CFB will be moving forward, I'm not sure im a fan of the product.
If they lose next Monday, they will have gone 6-1 in "big games" this year. After having gone 4-8 just 2 years ago. But they won't have won a title, so that means they aren't good.

You're awesome, dude.

6-1 LMAOOOOOO.

They won 2 games against an overrated Oregon team, and beat a decent Texas team. They're very very far from impressive.

I may regret asking this.. But who do you consider to be very impressive this year?
To be honest. I really don't think there is one.

UGA is the best team in CFB, but Saban caught them on the right day.

I think Michigan is good, but they're just weird, and cheat.

But in all reality there is no team I've watched this season where I've been like dam they deserve to be champion.

Fwiw I too think the final is a “weak championship game” but they won the games in front of them so whatever.

What would they have to do to impress you? It sounds like even if they run the table and beat Michigan, you don't think they'd be good.
They can't.

When I watch a sport throughout the season typically you have a team or two that stands put as a deserving champion. There really isn't a team that stands out like that this year. I was watching the games last night and all I could think is these teams are ass. No matter who wins my narrative on this season is an extremely weak champion in a weak field.

That happens sometimes, I just hope it isn't the norm going forward.

I think you overstate it, but I get what you are saying. Texas probably shouldn't have been there. Michigan just isn't impressive to watch. Alabama isn't quite what they used to be. Washington is a great offense with a suspect defense.

The one team that was dynamic on both sides of the ball missed a couple of kicks and had a tough day against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game and got left out of the playoff.

This.

I guess I could state it better, but you at least get my point.

Isn't that even more boring? Personally, I think those seasons we had for a while where Alabama was clearly the best team and won the title and UGA was clearly the best team and won the title lacked drama too.

Give me a season with 4-5 really good teams over a season with 1 elite team and 3-4 good teams any day of the week. If UGA is so incredible, then they shouldn't have lost to Alabama, who lost to (in your eyes) a decent Texas team, who (in your eyes) lost to an unimpressive Washington team and a really mediocre Oklahoma team. Last season in particular really kind of felt like a coronation. Ohio St scared UGA in the semi, but that was it.
