The Atlanta Braves Thread

It an interesting twist. They get their name on the stadium and also get credit for not taking the old name off. And the alliteration is catchy enough that they could probably even weave "Preserved by Pilot" into a branding strategy.
Would imagine the branding strategy is already complete

At least they’re going to be dumping huge money into the program and NIL. Wish they hadn’t touched the field but whatever
At least our place has enough tradition to have a name worth keeping. We could be watching games in a stadium called "The Krog" on Saturdays.

If they’d gone the traditional route, my guess it would only be about 5 minutes before opponents started referring to our stadium as the Truckstop.

Those tickets were going to be high regardless bro. Now the players are getting a little slice of the greed that is the NCAA. You can’t be serious
The Pilot thing is my main point. The Haslams were probably going to give that 20 million regardless, but now that it's directed to sponsorship/NIL the schools have to find other ways to recoup money for other projects.

And yes I think it's dumb because this wasn't even close to the intention of NIL, and no 18 year old kid deserves the money being thrown around for playing a game.

Which has less than nothing to do with ticket prices which are driven up by the aftermarket.
