2017 might be the worst defensive Braves team I've ever seen. They were running Kemp in LF, Adams at 1B, Freddie and Adonis Garcia at 3B, washed Brandon Phillips at 2B and past his prime Markakis in RF

Green will make some mistakes, so I'm counting on him to do that. Carter or Pili will do a great job spying him. Just don't love our history in Fayetteville

They're also really mistake-prone. They should have beaten Oklahoma St, and honestly it shouldn't have been all that close, but pulled defeat from the jaws of victory. If they makes mistakes like that against us, I think we will kill them.

That's why I call Pittman fat Butch Jones. He's way more likeable but their head coaching tenures are very similar.

That's a pretty good comparison. He's smarter than Butch and doesn't have the insecurities/is comfy in his own skin, but their teams play similar.

Man, I'm going back and looking at the stats again from their Okla St game - it is unbelievable how much they dominated on paper and lost.

- Had 12 more first downs (33 to 21)
- Converted 58% of their third downs (11/19) and held them to 31% (5/16)
- Outgained them by 263 total yards (648 to 385)
- Won TOP 36:14 to 23:46
- Taylen Green had 477 total yards
- JaQuinden Jackson rushed for 149 yds with 6.2 YPC
- They held Ollie Gordon to 49 yds rushing with 2.9(!!!) YPC

The 3 turnovers were killers, especially the pick 6 and muffed punt that gave Okla St a short field, which led to a TD.

Was listening to the Hammer Territory this morning (fka Talking Chop Podcast) and one of the guys on there bemoaned how they only have 2 LH hitters and that kills us in the postseason. Teams load up on righties knowing that only Harris and Olson are the only two real lefties. They have to go get another left handed masher (JOC PEDERSON PLEASE) to help balance the lineup.

We have needed a left handed outfield bat since at least the Reagan administration
