I didn't read the article. There's too much written on the subject. I just think a playoff is not doable in NCAA D 1 Football. Plus, i think the system we have in place, albeit not perfect, is about as good as it's going to get. The only real way is to have everybody play in a tournament like in basketball and consider the season a qualifier for the tournament. But, it won't work and neither will all the other "ideas" that callers, bloggers and people like this guy have. I like the bowl system. Hell, i love the BCS. This year wasn't quite as spectacular in terms of teams losing with a shot at it, but every other season it's a big mess and that big mess is good for college football. I think a success of the season is determined by who you beat, how good you feel about your season and whether or not you won the conference. And for the fortunate few who make it through the season either undefeated with a tougher schedule or with one loss with a tougher schedule, they are the ones that "deserve" to play for it all.
