Will the beast AJ Johnson get the to run the ball on short downs? I hope coach jones will use the beast on offense.

I hope we're good enough in short yardage that we don't need it. Although it was fun to watch, it would be a huge blow to the defense if A.J. gets hurt on offense.

If it gets UT in the Endzone I'm all for it ! Why Couldn't we just let a Fullback/TE block the edge and let a RB hit paydirt once in a while. Stoener Fumbles and we HAVE to Score..... 8 running plays later......Crystal Football is one game away !

I believe he is talking about are dominate run game in 98, that was unstoppable for the last drive against Arkansas for the winning drive after the fumble. Might I add my first time in Neyland what a night.

My first game at Neyland as well. I was 10, and hooked from that point on.

Great choice for a screen saver. I was so upset at half time I was soaked, half buzzed and believed me going to that game was costing us a N.C. chance. Boy was I wrong, next game I attended was the N.C. in Tempe Az., that was also a pretty fun night. Ended up partying with Sterling Marlin that night, he was sponsored by Coors Light at the time, what a night.

With a monster OL, Lane progressing into a "Tennessee back," and a good supporting cast, I'd be just fine watching AJ knock the stuffing out of the opposition as a linebacker.

Depends on how we got to the short yardage or the edge of the end zone. I think if a RB takes the load for 70-80 yards, he should at least get one chance to get it too the end zone.

I get what you are saying. Sure it's fun to watch but is it worth it? Let's just give the ball to Tiny and watch people try to tackle him. I really hope the running game doesn't need random help this year.

Lets put it this way....if UT has to rely on the Beast formation in short yardage situations at the goal line or any where else for that matter....then they will not be going to a bowl game this year.
