Is there a phone number we can call to show our approval?

Not so crazy about taking an almost guaranteed win off of our schedule, but Vandy does fit better in the Big Ten. The only thing is, the B10 tends to want to expand with public universities.

For some reason, the possible departure of Vanderbilt puts a song in my head. "Almost heaven, West Virginia..."

We might be on to something here....I definitely prefer the country road folks to the wine and cheese crowd.

Or why don't they just join the SAC?

I would love to see them compete against the CN's, Tusculums and Brevards of the world.

Stewart badly wants to join the SEC, so they can recruit even better in Florida. Sadly for him, however, the coach that carries the biggest stick on campus isn't very interested in leaving the Big East.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if that happened. Lots of off season talk this year regarding conferences.

Can you blame him?

Why even consider that? If getting a good football program isnt one of your concerns, then get Kansas. Same level of football, much closer to the other Big 10 schools than Peabody, and much much much better basketball.

I'm assuming Stewart won't be there too long, either.

Being from just north of Nashville, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Vandy, and, though this is against the Vol code, my 2nd favorite team is Vanderbilt (what can I say? My whole family is Vol/Vandy fans).

I would be ecstatic for Vandy to join the Big Ten. It gives them the ability to be more competitive and start fresh in a new conference (and begin a new tradition that isn't one of losing to all your SEC foes).

I could probably be a Vol and 'Dore fan in peace if this happened, lol.

But, but, how will Vanderbilt be able to use that victimization complex they've so perfected while in the SEC? I know I will miss every Vandy fan whining about academic standards and saying "we do pretty well for only allowing smart kids to enroll". No kidding? You're a private school and the athletic success of the SEC doesn't seem to bother you when the TV checks are signed, either.

Vandy needs to play schools more on their level or STFU and learn to accept their place in exchange for the financial benefits of the SEC.
