Alabama. Without question....and honestly, I think only Texas and MAYBE Florida are close (UF HAS to show something resembling domination against UK). Bama doesnt seem to have any "weakness". Their D is suffocating, their Offense is much better than last year and they have playmakers returning kicks. From their stable of horses in the back field to their suffocating D, their team reminds me a LOT of us (HUGE advantage they have is, of course, a QB that can throw the ball down the field). I think the way Bama plays is exactly where our program is headed once we can finally get Crompton the hell outta here. I am just really impressed with how well Bama has played so far this year. In the coming years, I bet our programs are going ot basically be carbon copies of one another....from the type of players we recruit all the way down to the philosophy and schemes our coaches preach. This rivalry should be kicked up a few notches in the coming years. I hope Bama absolutely smashes the gators when they play (that is, IF Urban Whiner can avoid the "flu" all year and get his team to the SEC Champ game).

Bama's Oline is not as good as last year but, yes, I agree that they are the best team.

As much as I hate to say it, Bama is the best right now. UF isnt far behind . Man it sux having to say that.

Who knows how the teams will match up by the end of the season.....lots of injuries and things can happen by then, but if UF and Bama played next weekend (even with a 100% healthy Tebow) I dont think UF keeps it closer than 14 points. Our defense was able to hold them down, and I believe the Bama defense as a whole is even a couple notches better than us.

Losing Hightower would be a big deal.

Can't argue with Alabama being the best right now. The only hope would be that they peaked early... But somehow I don't think that is the case. College football seems a little down this year in terms of even exectution, EXCEPT for Alabama. On top of that, they're as talented and "good" as anybody.

While there may be a drop-off in their defensive performance, I don't think it will be as significant with the Hightower loss. McClain is their stud LB and he is more than capable of picking up at least some of the slack, if there will be any at all. They are deep at LB.

I dunno, Florida is pretty dang good. Is it fair that the Cats get to play them back to back?

Bama and texas eating up the stats... I have a pretty good feeling about houston though not really challenged ( only ok st) they still can turn into a mean football team

Nope. You guys get the dubious distinction of being the measuring stick in the early going for who appears to me to be far and away the two best teams in the SEC.
