Not sure why Gibbs or Wade would consider UT now. Highly ranked players want to play with other highly ranked players.

Corker is announcing on Dec 17.
Wade on Dec 26.
Gibbs at his AS game (for now).

Coker’s team was defeated by Kell last Friday. After the game, he talked to on of Kell’s coaches and said when asked where he was going to play in college, Tennessee was the first of three teams he mentioned. I think we have a good chance to get him, but we have to wait for the final decision.

Not anymore. Wade appears to be a Penn State lock now after being a Vol lock before we lost 2 games to USCe & Vandy. He's not coming here & neither is Gibbs. We do have a shot at Corker. We're the leader in the clubhouse for him as of right now.

OP:

You got the wrong top 3 anyhow. Trey Smith should be in there & not one of these others. We have a much better chance at him anyhow than any of these 3 except for maybe Corker.

It's got to be weird for a DB to be thinking retreat, retreat before the ball is snapped. Ours look like that's what they do every play. Look back? No time. I'm in retreat mode. Maybe throw my hands up in desperation or just tackle the WR. I've got options. Best staff in America!

It's not like Martinez wasn't trash before he got to TN. Was horrible at Oklahoma and single handily got Crompton drafted. Half of JC's highlight film sent to scouts was that Ga game. He didn't/couldn't defend a simple roll out pass, over and over. Game got him fired.

Other than Warrior, I'm not sure. Up until this year, UT didn't have the luxury of keeping talent on the sidelines, because we were so thin at every position.

I'd love to hear some examples from the OP, but I won't get my hopes up.
