I watched some of that last night. That was some bad golf.

You could really see why they aren't on tour. Their short games really wilted under pressure.

Oh, I fully understand the pressure they were under, but it just didn't look to me like either of them had a good enough game to make it on tour. I'd be surprised if Ashley breaks 75 in the tournament.

The thing that really surprised me was Ashley was not nearly as long as you'd think she would be.

I play Callaway x-16 Pro irons and use an Odyssey 2ball putter. Callaway is a wonderful wonderful company.

I have the Ben Hogan CFT Hybrids and a DFX 2 ball putter from Odyssey.

Have you hit the Hybrids GA?? Oh man they are sweet. I sold my Fairway woods when I hit that sweeeeeeeeet hybrid. :yahoo:

I just got back from Savannah too btw. If you post on postjunkies you would know. PLayed 2 rounds down there with my dad. It was awesome.

Hey GAVol, will you come down to Robins and give me lessons?? I would be one hell of a golfer if I could conquer that slice of mine

You going to the Air Show??

I've got a TaylorMade Rescue hybrid that is my favorite club in the bag. I just put it in a few months ago and I have no idea what I was waiting on.

Would you believe that I have lived here for 20 years and I have never been to the Air Show?? Everybody tells me how great it is. I should probably take my son down there.

Where did you play? I will be making the trek this summer. The only course I typically play in Savannah is Southbridge.

I have sold my soul to the Devil and traded my Callaways in for the Taylor Made drivers.

Taylormade is great. They now have the weight changing hybrids.

Come on down this weekend for the show. We will have the Thunderbirds. The Air Force Flying Demonstration Team. (Pretty big deal when the Thunderbirds and/or Blue Angels show up. Compared to the Canadien Snowbirds :birgits_giggle: )

Woo Lex, What's up. I played over at Mary Calder in Garden City  . Kinda a sad course, but it's cheap.

I have been wanting to get a Taylormade R7, but my wife says I paid too much money for the ERC I'm not allowed to buy it :(

You know the course at Ft. Stewart is not too bad, and it is pretty affordable. I broke 80 on that course (it was one of the greatest days of my life).

I have to wait for close outs at the sporting goods stores myself, unless I am lucky enough to get a hand me down. Generally I have been allowed one extravagant golf purchase a year, but with new youngster around, we have to start work on her set. Glad you had a safe trip to Garden City. If only I could get my hands on some Brunswick Stew and some sweet tea from Carey Hillards right now.....

Personally, I think the R7 is a little gimmicky. I play with an R5 knockoff with a Proforce UST shaft. I've got a grand total of $75 in it, and in 3 years I haven't been able to find anything I like any better.

I don't know GA, I hit the TM 360, but hit my buddie's R7 when we play in scrambles, and we are talking about 20 yards, no exaggerations. I hit it so well that he doesn't offer on the tee when we are going head to head.

Carey Hilliards is my kind of place, great service and a smiling face. :biggrin2:

I love them.

I learned how to golf on the Stewart course. This brings back so many memories.

How is that youngun of yours?? Mine is 10 months and getting huge. Instead of a Quarterback...I got a Lineman :biggrin2:

It's definitely a good driver. A lot of people swear by it. For me though, I just really didn't see that big a difference. I love my $75 driver and thankfully I hit it far enough . . . . although I did hit a Ping G5 the other day . . . .

I gotta agree with Lex. My slice gets moderate at least with the counter balance on it. Still love my ERC. I gotta learn how to hit it solid before I get true distance.

If he is gonna be a lineman he better know how to deliver a pancake. All is well around here, everything has been better than I ever imagined. She is a little cutie, and she already has a three wood, a seven iron, and a putter.

My advice is to take half of what you would have spent on the R7 and give it to a Pro and let him fix your swing. There are only 2 or 3 things that cause a slice but unless you fix them, if you slice a Callaway, you will slice a Taylor Made.

I catch him in a three point stance. I think he is a 2 star right now. Working on the pancakes!!!!!

GA, My wife has hinted she is going to buy me lessons. I don't like the pro on base. Got any recommendations around here that is decent priced??

Price is the tough thing. If you've got $75 to throw down, go see Bobby Hix at Idle Hour CC. That learning center out there is just outrageous. Why don't you just go see the pro over at the Landings? I can't imagine that he'd be all that bad price-wise.

Heck, tell me what you're doing and I'll try to fix it sight unseen online for free. :biggrin2:
