I believe Florida had something like 130 straight sellouts in football coming into the season. Well that streak ended early this year and I think they've only sold out two times this season. Check out this video to see how many of their fans abandon them in hard times:

The Swamp - Half empty - YouTube

Out of 88,000 seats, how many people would you estimate there are?

I know for a fact here in Memphis that the biggest bandwagon fans are for Alabama. It was not until Saban won the national championship that the fans began to come out.

Classmate of mine who "loves" UF used the words "we" and "our" when talking about UT football yesterday.

The same guy bragged about the gators just before the game with them this year, to which I responded by asking him who some of the defensive starters were for UF. I knew 4 or 5 myself, he knew ZERO! He proceeded to get on the internet and look them up.

Alabama's up there, for certain.

If we were talking NFL I'd say there's absolutely no doubt in my mind it's the Eagles.

I've been telling people that for years....UF has always been the biggest bandwagoneers...I remember back in the 80's they had such horrible attendance they were GIVING AWAY tickets at Arbys if you bought a certain combo meal....Those so called fans are jokes and always have been.

It's difficult filling up big stadiums these days unless you are contending for a conference championship.

The Miami Hurricane bandwagon (when they're good) rival's anyone. But florida, of course they're bandwagoners, that's exactly what you'd expect from a johnny come lately program.

What about Southern Cal? A few years after Pete Carroll got there all the Hollywood celebs start showing up. Don't remember Will Ferrell and company roaming the sidelines when John Robinson and Paul Hackett were the head coaches.

Wow . . . We've had attendance issues this year, but that video is shocking.

I wonder what the venue formerly known as the Swamp would look like after a four-year stretch like we've had? Friends and family only?

we still fill up more than their capacity, even in arguably the worst point in our history since becoming nationally relevant

Like it did before Spurrier. At least then they had really dedicated, decent fans instead of thousands of bandwagon-riding goat lovers throwing piss on you.

No doubt this is the sign of the times. There were even a significant amount of empties at UCSe vs FL and that game had east title implications. If we can get 90000 to neyland for our lower tier games and sell out the big games, our AD is doing a great job at this point.

To add to that, I was extremely pleased with our AD and how they "mask" the empty seats for the Vandy game. Outside of the student section they didn't have gaping holes in the upper deck from unsold tickets that I could see.

I think the biggest bandwagon fans are the Bamers that live outside of Alabama. I've met more "life long" bamers here in middle TN the last three years that couldn't even name the coach pre-Saban. One even told me Bear Bryant.

yea im sure you guys sellout when your 6-5 and furman comes to town :eek:lol:

you guys are funny

MTSU was a bad crowd for us but looked no where close to as bad as that one for you guys. You guys have a much smaller group of "real fans" than we do. We all need casual fans and that video proves you have a bunch of them.
