Any black keys fans? If so, what do you think of the new album "El Camino"? IMO it's not their best but it still has some great tracks. Gold on the ceiling and little black submarines in particular. Little black submarines is reminiscent of a cross between stairway to heaven and mary janes last dance.

Hadn't listened to anything from their last three albums but this used to be my jam

I love the Black Keys and have all of their albums. Only issue I have is that a lot of their music sounds the same, but that can be expected with the genre of music they play.

Digging El Camino. It's been on repeat since Tuesday. My favorite band. I'll be seeing them in Grand Rapids, MI in March then traveling to Chicago to see them again the next night. Saw them last New Years Day in Chicago. It was glorious.

I am not a huge fan of most of their stuff. However, two of their songs are simply outstanding. "Things Ain't Like They Used to Be" and "Dead and Gone." I could listen to those two songs again and again.

Thought this was a thread about that YouTube video on playing Amazing Grace on the black keys.

This is weird, because it's pretty much my thoughts exactly.

After listening to it some more, I think Lonely Boy, Money Maker, and Turn Right Back are my favorites from the album. However, the rest are pretty damn good, also.

Bump.

Saw them on Monday night. The Arctic Monkeys opened for them. Wish I could see them every night, honestly. Such a damn good show. They packed the United Center.

Going to see them tonight and I literally know nothing about The Arctic Monkeys except for they picked a really awful band name. Anything worth seeing? Or stay at the bar and have a couple more drinks before heading over?

I saw them in the secret show they did here in Nashville about a month ago. They're pretty awesome live.

How were they in an arena? I decided not to go because I didnt think that kind of venue would suit them well

That's the reason I didn't go to see them at Joe Louis Arena here in Detroit a few weeks back. I've seen them a few times, and they were great, but it was always in a club or theater setting. Plus Joe Louis Arena is a dump.

Pandora introduced me to them back in '05 on my Muddy Waters channel with the song "Have Love Will Travel". Been a huge fan ever since. I love the new album, but my favorites are Magic Potion and Attack & Release.

Probably too late now, but I'm a huge fan of The Arctic Monkeys. They're from Britain. I love their name.

Acoustically, it wasn't as good as when I saw them at Aragon Ballroom. I was lower bowl, almost dead center stage.

Magic Potion is one of the best albums ever.period! Saw them live in Charlotte at Bojangles Coliseum in march, it was a very good show, but not as good as they used to be when it was just the two of them playing. Best rock duo around today for sure, though.

I've really got into them about the last 2 months. What are some bands that yall like that might be similar? Always looking for new music.

The Barnburners – The Raw Boogie EP

This is really cool. Click the colored bars above each members head while the song is playing. Cold War Kids.

The Blackwater Fever

The Fumes

Left Lane Cruiser

North Mississippi Allstars

The Easy-Offs

Great bluesy/jazz band. Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears

Let's not forget the greatest musician of this generation Jack White.

I'm sure they're a great bad and I love the chip they carry on their shoulder, but I do not like their lo-fi vocals.

Black Keys transcend pop music. They are barebones blues pop. I love their "low-fi" vocals. I also love how they rock your face off. Their show was great at Bonnaroo last year.
