Hopson doesnt have that killer mentality. Like the great ones do, that finish you swagg/ mentality. I thought I saw it in the Pitt game, but he is not consistent enough. Hope he gets it turned around....

He's extremely inconsistent. 1 night he looks like a actual future 1st or 2nd round draft pick then another night he's awful. Lets hope he improves.

Common sense says you don't lose to two cupcakes after beating the #3 and #7 teams in the country. Got to be some kind of explanation for this terrible play.

I am afraid that teams have smartened up to Pearl on offense. They do not bother to guard him. They challenge him to shoot. So it becomes 5 on 4 and one of those cannot create a shot so it is 5 on 3.

I still wonder if weed and guns are making a comeback. At least then there would be a reason they are so abysmal so suddenly.

Not the bottom line. Goins was awful and he's more our catalyst. Will shift to Tobias over time.

We will, I think get Tobias off the top of the key against zones and make him a zone killer.

The truly great players find ways to get it done EVERY GAME. Hopson is not a great player, he's a serviceable college player, not NBA talent, and not a team leader. Harris needs to step in and take over immediately.

The OP is correct. Hopson played great vs. Villanova and Pitt and we win. He disappears for most of the game vs. Oakland and Charlotte and we lose. IMO, we only have 4 legit players on this team (Hopson, Tatum, Goins, and Harris). You can maybe throw Maybin in there later. These are the players that will score points and if they are not getting it done, we can lose to anyone. After these 4-5 we have a bunch of role players. We may play alot of players but that doesn't mean we are deep.

The predictions of final fours, best UT team ever, 25-3 records, lose less than 5 games, etc. are not happening.
