I happen to fall right into the demographic he's talking about. It's hard to explain to people how loved Murph was in Atlanta in the 80s. Impeccable character, humility and 37hrs 110 RBI every year. He was the easiest guy to cheer for ever.

Me too. I was a little young during that time but old enough to remember it all and for him to be my favorite player.

I have to wonder if any other fan base out there has a player this iconic who is also not in the Hall?
