The Braves Thread

Did y’all see this chart on Freddie? Insanity. The best place to pitch him as a lefty is down the gut.

Prime example is Jason Heyward -

Never hit .300, never had a 100 RBI season. .153 post season average.

Making 26 million because he makes a sliding catch or throws a runner out once a week.

Heyward has had 2 good seasons in his career. He is definitely one of the most overpaid athletes in this era.

You think you want that, but it rarely ever works like that for Catchers or Shortstops.

But even Dansby's defense is middle of the pack in the MLB. I don't understand everyone's love for him. Trade him while he still has some value.

Is there another SS in the minors that is ready to take his place?

Like it or not, I think He is going to be the SS here for several years.

.250 with a ton of strikeouts, but he will do something great to help you win a game on occasion

My favorite narrative that Chip and Joe are pushing is that it took 3+ years for Nick to recover from his neck injury instead of the fact he changed his swing to elevate launch angle. It’s delightful.

I'm all for advanced stats, but people need to calm down a little with the launch angle stuff.

Very encouraging to see Albies adjust his swing to get back on track. Need to keep him in the 2nd slot
