Arcia is a perfectly fine backup IF. If that’s your guy making spot starts, playing against the occasional lefty, he’s perfectly qualified.

He’s not a starting SS. And the fact a team that won 101 games last year is where we are at with the SS, is a failure by AA.

Shewmake is 25. I can understand maybe wanting to protect Vaughn. Shewmake either makes it or he doesn’t at this point in his career.

Wonder if the Braves go after Jorge Mateo. He was a plus/plus defender last year and Gunnar Henderson is gonna be on the big league club.
