The Braves Thread

Yeah, I know I pay bad Vig at time only playing one.
Idk if you know this, there's a website called oddsjam that has all the lines and basically does it for you. It's kinda expensive though.
You can go in and look through things yourself, but if you don't pay sometimes lines from books are missing.
For baseball, I have general idea what I’m going to look for based on knowing how the betting market works and watching/listening/reading entirely too much baseball. I’ll look at the props on one book, typically Caesars, and hone in on what I think I want to play. Then I’ll spot check those particular plays across books. I’m not digesting every books line for every prop. If I’m playing a side, I will definitely look at every book. FD and DK usually give you the best shot value wise on a side.

For football, I will make a specific number and then periodically check all books during the week until I get it. Much easier because you have a week instead of a couple hours, but ton more research. Unless you have a hardcore public fade spot or make something very different from what’s expected, you want to get those lines as early as you’re comfortable with your info. They get razor sharp by weekend.

I have to learn that about football. I hate making bets and just having them hang out.
Out of curiosity what do you use to make your number?

I listen to four podcasts, use dvoa rankings, look ahead numbers vs opening numbers vs immediate line movement, read some stuff that’s meant for dfs and fantasy but spotlights matchup opportunities that impact game flow, etc. I consume a lot of information on NFL. I utilize teasers if need be. NFL is mostly a math game. Even half point moves are a big deal.

A good example of dfs/fantasy info being useful was chargers-jags playoff game. Jags pepper kirk and engram with the ball. Chargers #1 defense vs inside receivers and in-breaking routes. Jags came out 2H and everything was still going to those inside guys but everything was arrows, flags, corners, slot fades, etc or split engram outside.
