The voiding of bets due to an injury is a complete joke, especially picking and choosing when to do so.100%
I was one yard short on a Kadarius toney prop and he left at the end of 1Q with injury. Nothing.
Mahomes left the field for 5 plays and they voided all his bets.
A joke. If I had the time I’d sue them on principle.
Not only that, they refunded Bello as well. The voiding of bets due to an injury is a complete joke, especially picking and choosing when to do so.
The Ohtani voiding I understand more since it was weather-related, and of course I'm happy about it, but I wasn't going to be enraged at them if they didn't. If instead of Ohtani getting pulled due to a rain delay it was some random dude, I bet they don't refund.
They refunded Bello I'm sure just to avoid the obvious double standard if they didn't, since they were participating in the same game. If instead of Ohtani it was some random Angels starter, I bet they don't refund anybody because there wouldn't be as many bets/eyeballs on it.Not only that, they refunded Bello as well.
Like T mentioned though, there was rain in the forecast all day, it's not like it was a surprise. An injury you can't predict.

My buddy had a live under 16.5 on the Rockies-pirates (which is an interesting bet to begin with but beside the point)..Did everybody get screwed yesterday? I had Shohei over 7.5 K, which he was well on his way to, then it rained.
Yeah, I saw they refunded him as well, but like you stated in their rules that we all check that little terms and agreements box. The people complaining literally have 0 legs to stand on when they're arguing. They refunded Bello I'm sure just to avoid the obvious double standard if they didn't, since they were participating in the same game. They really at this point should be following their rules as stated, which is that the bet is valid if the pitcher 1) starts the game and 2) throws one pitch.
I think that a lot of times, people in prominent positions who have family connections are kind of unfairly maligned. Sure, that connection I'm sure got them a foot in the door, but the connection alone (most of the time) won't keep you in the room. Chip is an exception to that. I really don't think he would be an MLB announcer if he wasn't Skip's son and Harry's grandson. Not a Cardinals fan, by neither of Chip. He can't hold a candle to Harry nor Skip.
To me, Gaudin manages to sound polished without sounding breathlessly contrived the way Chip sometimes did. I'm liking Moylan as a color guy more than Francoeur . . . which is an admittedly low bar for me.Maybe its just me but Gaudin's voice sounds to me like a playoff guy, I was much more aware I was watching a regional broadcast with Chip. Very different voices, even though Gaudin has jokes too.
Is it just me, or is Francoeur better with Gaudin than Chip? Francoeur still doesn't add stuff to the broadcast that you think a former player would, but he seems to have a more genuine, less contrived rapport with Gaudin than he ever did with Chip. Which is interesting because they've known each other for like 2 months. To me, Gaudin manages to sound polished without sounding contrived the way Chip sometimes did.
