We threw Shuster and Dodd the first padres series man
You guys are on the talking point but the opposite side of understanding haExactly, let's get our guys back first. This weekend is a lot different if we had McHugh and Iglesias
MLB.TV?ELI5, how does one watch the Braves in this era without paying 100 a month on a service? Not possible? I have honestly been boycotting MLB as well as some other sports for awhile now. My Son is 12 however and gotten a sudden interest in Baseball, trying to find best way to watch some games without breaking the bank. At 100 a month I rather buy lessons for him to work with a coach, and see some Chattanooga Lookouts games live. Oh How I miss the TBS/WGN days of baseball on TV.
MLB.TV?
If your son is taking up an interest in baseball though, also get him out playing and watching the game. I live in Chattanooga as well and love Lookouts games. Best entertainment value in town.
A Lookouts thread would probably go in Sports Forum.

Yeah Reds are blacked out on MLB.TV in Chattanooga as well. So stupid. If you’re in Chattanooga, the Braves are mostly likely blacked out for you on MLB.tv. You would need a way to access Bally sports (at least for now) via cable, YT tv, etc. or direct Bally’s subscription.
If you’re just wanting baseball in general, MLB.tv is ~$120 a year and you’d be able to catch any teams games besides the Braves and maybe the Reds.
It is MEGA cool I highly recommend. It's not like the old mini-golf batting cages..it's indoors and reminds me very much of a professional clubs training facility. On the premium membership he gets unlimited batting time. There are coaches there you can hire to help you. The guy that worked with him for 30 min first time we went was fantastic, and patient for a first time learner. I was very impressed. Don't mean to sound like a plug, but I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time there.Had to Google D-Bat; never heard of that. That's cool.

Most (all?) Reds games air on Bally in Chattanooga. It's weird because other than my next door neighbor (who used to live in Cincinnati) I've never come across a Reds fan in town, but apparently we are designated as being in their viewing area so MLB.TV blacks them out to protect Bally.WTF?!???? That's just evil.
The blackouts exist because you have access to watch the games via the provider that pays to broadcast them. Just because you don’t choose to purchase that provider’s service doesn’t mean it’s “crap”I have MLB.tv via Sling which I use for vols etc...but this sucks not being able to watch the Braves. This blackout crap is what is killing baseball...not the rules.
I’ve read before (might not be remembering all the details correctly) that you could live in Iowa (with no professional baseball team) yet be blacked out of six different markets.I have MLB.tv via Sling which I use for vols etc...but this sucks not being able to watch the Braves. Based on the fact that they black out the Braves, Reds, and Cards in Memphis (all of which are 4+ hours away), I'd guess that the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Twins, Royals, and Cardinals are blacked out throughout Iowa. What a cool way to promote your league in that state.I’ve read before (might not be remembering all the details correctly) that you could live in Iowa (with no professional baseball team) yet be blacked out of six different markets.
