It’s the most implausible movie about a draft I can imagine. It makes literally zero sense

The plot is just so half-baked and horribly written. It was kind of well cast, I guess - Costner has been in a bunch of sports movies. But it was screenwritten by people who clearly know absolutely nothing about a draft, and they evidently didn't consult anybody who did.
