So the newest going theory is Bennett is taking the Jay Wright route. He hates the going direction of college athletics and NIL( not my rant), and decided he was done with it. He timed it this way so he could hand pick his replacement from one of his assistants and they could get a one year audition for the job.

Sure...in June after the hiring period. Three weeks before the season for a 55-year-old trying to tell me "It's because of the NIL era" is insane.

They do that for tennis a lot..... You don't have to have an active bet, but if you don't have money in your account it won't let you watch unless you deposit.

Seems like it was to force UVA into hiring his hand-picked assistant. They obviously don't have the time/ability now to do a normal coaching search. I bet he had made the decision much earlier, maybe even during the season last year.
