The Braves Thread

The only thing that can give us a home game is Penn State getting obliterated by Oregon to move them to 9 and even then that won’t happen because they won’t do an Ohio State-Indiana matchup at 7/10

Yeah it's set. Only movement will be hand-picking the Friday night ND match up that makes their jollies get off the fastest.

System been broke. By egotistical bastards (shocking).

Here's to kicking their ass up and down the Olentangy and hopefully a fast path to 16-team.

Correct. Penn State will drop behind Notre Dame if they lose respectfully and Notre Dame will get Alabama or Arizona State

Alex would not give Bryce 300
Alex would not give Freddie a 6th year
Alex would not give Dansby 80% of market value

Teams actually trying

So the "why do we play the games then???" stuff can get old... or be disingenuous at times.

But OSU entering rivalry week with no combination of results that would cost them hosting. Bama going to Vandy and OU with no result that would cost them the playoff. It does steer me back to... why did we play em?

Bama parades around their narrative of how tough the league is and hand-waves through the logic like a bad stage magician. Y'all lost to 6-6 Candy and OU, not 2019 Burrow & Co.

He’s the worst but only because I love baseball the most

If I cared at all about the nba product, YOUR BOY(!) would take the cake

Look I don’t want to go back to 81-78 games with Patrick Ewing getting 30 post touches but the sport is in so much trouble. It’s an absolutely garbage product. Watching an NBA game isn’t fun, it’s just a spineless refs, mindless 30’s and zero passion until the playoffs. I’m watching Pistons/Bucks and it’s unwatchable

I was telling the girl tonight, that while pro sports can be unfair, it’s not unjust. There’s levels to objectivity and rewarding winning. The Chiefs should be 8-4. They’re not. They’re 11-1. And if they have the best record in their conference, they get the #1 seed. Maybe they had a weaker schedule than Baltimore which might be unfair but again there’s objectivity to winning and losing. You have the best record, you get seeded accordingly.

With the committee, there is way too much people that don’t know football and just serves as bitches for the conference commissioners. The only rule is 5 conference champions get in and 4 get byes. That’s it. They can mix and match whatever criteria to fit whatever narrative they want. They continuously put brands over teams. The BCS wasn’t perfect and they should have put up more safeguards, but at least there was some objectivity and transparency. I could read the formulas online and figure out what’s used to judge teams.

With a committee, they get to hide behind their computers, not have to explain any of their reasoning. They don’t have to use Sarigon or SP+ because they have no one to answer too to the fans. They just do whatever they can to serve their overlords. It’s not football; it’s a pyramid scheme.

Bama lost to two garbage teams on the road... Let's get em in with a big ole road tilt.

OSU being Michigan's only road win... Ah, hell, let's give em a chance to fix that.

Neyland being an unbeatable atmosphere and a place we didn't lose... Eh, send em somewhere. With the toughest path of anyone.

And I'm frustrated for Miami fans. Their losses are a lot more respectable than Alabama's.
