"If they can get him here for a visit" doesn't really sound like he's all that interested. If he was interested, wouldn't he want to visit and then the focus becomes on trying to sell him hard when he's here?

I would take him in a heartbeat, but a big reason for that is the current state of our WR room. His numbers at USC don't exactly jump off the page. They aren't horrible, but is he a difference maker? I'd still take him regardless though.

He’s a difference maker. This is the type of talent that can win post season awards. Money and the opportunity for both Branches to play will make us a contender. But it’s gonna take one hell of a check to land these dudes.

Looking at his recruiting rankings, that would seem to be the case, but the numbers in 2 college seasons don't seem to back that up. The book on him seems to be electric with the ball in his hands, fast twitch, but can't catch or get open.

USC is bad. We’ve had four first team all Americans in 15 years. Branch already has one. Sign all day every day.

He got that mostly due to his exploits in the return game. Can he catch and get open as a WR?

I don't disagree with you at all. Sign him all day, especially given the state of our WR corps. His receiving numbers don't exactly bear out a lot of the descriptions of him though.

He’d be used in the same capacity squirrel was, but he can actually do something after the catch.

Better numbers than Velus had at USC before coming here and we got Velus drafted in the top 3 rounds. Hes a better playmaker too
