The Atlanta Braves . . . You can't lose 'em all.

I disagree. I don't think you're going from 6-6 to a playoff contender overnight.
Indiana went from 3-9 to a playoff team overnight. Shane Beamer was a play away from having serious playoff consideration (and a couple plays away from being in the playoff) after going 5-7 last year. Conversely, FSU went from 13-1 to 2-10 overnight.

Expect increasing year-over-year volatility among programs, especially programs that are good and have resources but don't recruit at a top 5 level every single year (Tennessee falls into that category, unfortunately).

That Indiana was pretty slaw tho.
I'm still not sure they were actually good.

Bargain bin barves

You know if AA and McGurik and Schiller would come out and “hey we believe our best bet in the long term is to reset the luxury tax penalties” I would tell them to **** off but I’d at least respect being honest. AA running out to a local radio interview or doing a puff piece article saying “Oh I have money but we have to be smart! Every three weeks when he has (at minimum) 4 holes on the roster and he’s not done anything in 2.5 months is gross and unbecoming. Be a man and tell me the plan.

I think the bolded part is the rub. I'm not sure he believes he has holes in the roster.

He at least knows his he needs a 5th starter and or bullpen arm trying to sign Hoffman. But the fact they could imagine Kelenic and Arcia as long term answers means we are ****ed

Fair enough. Trying to get Hoffman shows an awareness there but I don't think he believes playing Kelenic and Arcia all year is a problem.
