As Maymon and Stokes play together I am seeing a great combo forming. Stokes passing ability means that teams can't leave Maymon unguarded for easy dunks and teams are asking for it if they don,t at least double up on Stokes. I think teams will have to back off our guards to keep Stokes from dribbling to get position on their posts and easy baskets.

What say you VOLS?

Anybody remember the BASH BROTHERS from the mighty ducks. That was my first thought a week or two ago, that has to be intimidating seeing those 2 in the post.

The Uconn game put the Vols back in tourney consideration. Were gonna need to win almost all of our remaining games (including uk) but I believe we can do it. And if we don't make the NCAA tourney im still proud of this rag tag team that has somewhat shocked college basketball. Go Vols!

Now we have to go to Vandy and show them that the Phoenix has risen from the ashes.:)

The original bash brothers were Conseco and McGwire when they played in Oakland in the late 80's.

It's amazing how easy it is to transition from the Mighty Ducks movie to Young Guns! I can't watch one without thinking of the other.

For a stat geek, it would be interesting to compare Maymon's FG% when Stokes is on the floor versus when he isn't.

I think Maymon is one of those kids that needs a small confidence booster at the beginning of every game. If he lays in two, he'll go for 15 but if he misses...tries to force it. All I know is, we neeeeed these guys to hit their freethrows.

I'd like to know where he ranks in the country for misses inside of 5 feet. He gets many good looks but rarely hits most of them, he did against Memphis and hit his free throes which is why he went for 32.

it does seem like he misses alot but hes shooting over 55 percent from the floor so cant complain to much but it probaly should be around 60.maymon and stokes both need to get it going from the ft line.

Yea for a guy who rarely shoots outside of 5 feet 60% would be nice. They are easy shots most of the time they just roll off the rim.
