That was quite a year, full of ups and downs, two booth reviews from being 7-5 but that's how life goes. Let's all enjoy this offseason, stick together as a fan base, support our basketball teams, relish in our awesome recruiting, and hope that 2014 will be a better year.

Go Vols!!!!

On to 2014. Butch has to get this young team ready to play and over achieve next year.

Thinking about the off-season already has me bored, so I've decided to go ahead and look ahead to the 2014 schedule-

vs. Utah State- This game poses a lot of problems. Chuckie Keeton is a really good dual-threat qb, and they've been doing good the past couple of seasons.

vs. Arkansas State- They're pretty good by sun belt standards, but then again so was WKU. I'd expect this game to turn out like that.

@ Oklahoma- Don't know how good they'll be next year. Either way it's gonna be tough to go on the road and win.

vs. Bye Week- We should end up with a win here. Should be a good game (sarcasm)

@ Georgia- Another tough road game. But no more Aaron Murray!

vs. Florida- If they're going to be anything like they have been the last half of this season then I fully expect a win. Incoming freshman Will Grier will probably be the starter for the Gators, and unfortunately will probably add another element to their passing game.

vs. Chatt- Nothing needs to be said here.

@ Ole Miss- Battle of two young teams on the rise. With the game being at Vaught-Hemingway I'd give the edge to Old Mississippi.

vs. Bama- There's always a chance right?

@ USC- They're the only elite team that struggles with UT on a regular basis. Here's to hoping it continues.

vs. UK- They've been recruiting better than usual the past two seasons. Shouldn't matter either way though.

vs. Missouri- These guys are too unpredictable. If their success carries over into next season it will be a tough game to win.

@ Vanderbilt- No more wins for the Commode Dores. Their luck will run out next season.

Good analysis. My worries start with week one against Utah State. That's going to be tough.

Yea they nearly upset USC this year, annd that says a lot about them as a team from the MWC. But when Keeton went out their team started to decline a bit. We will definitely need our A game to win.

As we can see from Auburn's return to glory, a few key players will definitely make a difference and a one year turn around can happen. However, I think Tennessee won't be much better, unless they hit the JUCO ranks to get a quick fix at QB to buy Jones some time to recruit one or two more to take over...

I'd say next year would not be surprising if we went 5-7 again, but 6-6 is likely as well.

My guess is 6-6. Or maybe I'm just a little biased...
