The Crown

Anyone caught this yet? I will say its not for everyone. If you like docu-dramas, like British royalty, or Downton Abbey then check it out. Its about the rise of Queen Elizabeth from right before she took the crown until the 50s (not sure how far because I'm still watching). Fun cast with Dr Who Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, John Lithgow as an aging Winston Churchill and Jared Harris (Mad Men, Fringe) as Elizabeth's father King George.

Its a fun watch to see all the inter workings of the royal empire.

I'm through 4 episodes, pretty good so far. I just finished watching Downton Abbey (which I was begrudgingly co-opted into through my wife and ended up loving), so it's elevated the bar for British period dramas for me

The series three trailer looks fantastic. Can't wait for November 17, this is one of my favorite shows.

I'm a few episodes in to season 3 and it is incredible. Olivia Colman is killing it as Elizabeth.
