I thought they stopped printing those as well. I will be looking for it. I usually purchase an official UT Media Guide. It has the most information on the Vols I have found.

Anson Mount, who was a Tennessean, wrote the annual "Pigskin Preview" for years and years. He had no real sports journalism background when he started; he was given the job with no thought going into it because Hef heard he liked college football. He grew into the role and it was nevertheless a must read back in the day.

I always enjoy the annual sports illustrated SEC preview that comes out every august.

As an oldtimer, one that I always looked forward to was Street and Smith's. They first began publishing their annual college football preview magazine in 1940. "In 2007, its sports yearbooks were merged with those of The Sporting News and have since been published under The Sporting News banner" (Remembering Street & Smith’s | Hail Varsity).

I remember Street and Smith's. I wondered whatever happened to them.

Street & Smith's always gave the teams nickname. We would sit around the dorm memorizing them and then quizzing each other......good memories... Pittsburg States mascot is?
