Night and day from last year. The d line got steady pressure all night even with all the blatant holding.

That defense is going to keep us in every game this year. Congrats to the defense.

We are a stable offensive line from being a good team.

Props to the team for putting up a fight.

Im looking forward to what we do in the east.

Agreed. I just wish we had AJ Johnson for one more year. I hope he's mentoring one of these young guys to take the reigns when he graduates. But to your point, this defense has been playing very well and I'm gonna enjoy watching them for the remainder of the season. GO VOLS!!

Agree, for the first time in years it's actually going to be fun again to watch, nobody in the east looks unbeatable. We've got a shot as long as our line improves and if we can avoid serious injuries.

Allow me to sum up my feelings ... I am disappointed we lost even though I expected to lose but was hoping for another miracle game like against Miami. I think the offensive line played a horrible game. They were simply outmatched by superior players. I am concerned if CBJ can fix this problem with the current players he has. My guess is recruiting good offensive lineman is going to have to occur. Time will tell. Croom needs to improve his techniques, so much talent but he needs to improve on the basic skills.

With the above said, I could not be more proud of a football team than I was last night. So many positives I can not cover them all. Worley played like a warrior despite the line problems and showed class in his post game interview! A true leader Worley has become. Sutton is a STUD, period! The defense, as a group really surprised me even though they were inexperienced and greatly undersized compared to Oklahoma. Hurd seemed to hit the hole a little quicker despite very few "holes." Pig plays like a receiver twice his size! Last but not least my hat off to the ENTIRE COACHING STAFF! Team ATTITUDE is at CHAMPIONSHIP LEVEL. Just think about our attitude now and the team a few short years ago, Kentucky need I say more.

Bottom line I am more and more convinced CBJ is building something special but it will take more time (probably about two more years). Good news is these freshman will get the opportunity to experience something special in Big Orange Country!!! The fans need to to sit back, relax, and cheer on these players! Enjoy every minute of it!

I was very impressed with our defense. They played very well against a pretty good offense. Our speed and tackling ability has improved drastically.
Best thing I heard was that we won't accept losing. Butch does believe in improvement but no moral victories. Keep fighting and playing.

What's frustrating is... for the past 7 or so years whenever we have had a good defense our offense has sucked, or vice versa.

I understand your frustration but quit living in the past! The future appears bright, FOCUS on this!

The offense will improve as the OL grows up and I'm not talking about next year. The OU nose tackle was more than they could handle but most of the sacks and pressures were the result of stunts and Blitz's. That Sticker kid was some player. They will keep getting physically stronger and better at picking up stunts as they grow as players. OU has maybe the best front 7 in college football coached by two of the best defensive minds in the game. They will look better going forward partly because the competition won't be quite as good and partly because they will improve.

This. OU's two deep on the front 7 is as good or better than anything we will face the rest of the year.

Proud of our defense! They have really improved beyond my expectations from last season, and should only continue to improve as they clean up the missed assignments due to lack of experience in the system.
