tough league..but its a crap shoot when you get to the final four so it doesnt surprise me for none to make the championship game

C-USA had a team in the final last season. Wonder what that means about that conference?

If one really doubts the strength of the Big East this year because they only made up half of the final four... Well, they should quit watching basketball all together.

they did well in the tourney, and clearly showed they were a great conference this season, but ya, all that silly talk about gr8est Uf ALLTIMES was always overblown ad-copy and bluster meant to elevate the importance of the 'now'.

But blame the pundits and extremists for that talk, not the big east--who certainly were dominant by normal standards, just sadly not nearly in keeping with the perception and expectation put upon them.

I believe--or hope at least--that the original poster was just making a humorous point about how espn and the like were slobbering over the conference all year as this great god-like, megatron-y(redundant?) force, and then voila: zilch.

And to be literal, dominance does imply, well, ya know, dominating.

I doubt that all-conference team is the best ever. It's not like this class of players are exceptional. I wouldn't even be surprised if the big east of old had better all-conference teams.
