Whether you like it or not, they have to extend the width of 1st base into the runners lane, foul territory. Technically you cant touch 1st as is without creating a possible interference

Does that rule only apply to 1st base?
I will have to find the interpretation of that rule. If a guy is running from 2nd to 3rd and the center fielders throws a direct line to the 3rd baseman and it hits the runner, is the runner out?
