The Dugout - General Topics, Chat, Random Photos and Memes.......No Politics

Having reflected on last night, I don’t think I’ve experienced a more satisfying moment in baseball than the 7th inning last night. The announcers expecting the rally…the fans…the setup….and then the complete and utter dismantling of their 3 best hitters. Etzel woulda missed that last pitch with a tennis racket and then Dickerson looked like he had seen a ghost after seeing the first pitch…the DH looked shell shocked walking back. That moment rivaled anything I’ve ever seen. And then Ahuna just stamping the moment… goodness.

Great season! Everything else is just toppings now, that was cake last night. Thanks Basevols! Go have fun in Omaha!
when espnu aired replay this morning, the seventh was point at which i started recording

The coolest place today in your fryin pan is above a city in Texas that is located above a massive cavern

Other than some more information not provided ... this sounds legit.

Here is an obit about Cormac McCarthy as if it were written by Cormac McCarthy:

I am Cormac McCarthy, and I am dead. I died on this day, June 13, 2023, at the age of 90. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 20, 1933. I grew up in El Paso, Texas, and I attended the University of Tennessee, where I studied English and philosophy. After graduating, I moved to New York City, where I worked as a book editor.

In 1965, I published my first novel, The Orchard Keeper. It was a critical and commercial success, and it launched my career as a writer. I have since published 16 more novels, including Blood Meridian, No Country for Old Men, and The Road. My work has been translated into over 20 languages, and it has won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award.

I am a writer of the American West, and my work is often described as Southern Gothic or Western Noir. My novels are characterized by their violence, their bleakness, and their unflinching look at the dark side of human nature. But they are also beautiful, lyrical, and full of compassion.

I am a writer who believes in the power of words. I believe that stories can change the world. I hope that my work will continue to speak to readers for generations to come.

I am gone now, but I will not be forgotten. I am Cormac McCarthy, and I was a writer.

my fantasy team is facing my son's team. I need a rainout. He owns Strider and Acuna, and I am trailing ,,,,,, by a fat margin.
btw
that's rotten u dont get espnu

ESPNU should be an already standard channel on everyone's cable TV lineup w/out having to upgrade it to an already expensive cable bill each month from spectrum. I think I got my cable B4 they came out with ESPNU on the lineup .... that's why I'd have to add it.
