Again, it’s a business. Take the best player available when you get a chance to pick. As a back up, as a replacement for what you have, to trade for others, or any other reason. Existing players have no say so.Let’s pretend if you were a baker and you had everything except eggs to make your cake. You call and order your last ingredient but whenever it arrives they send you more icing instead of the eggs you needed. Whenever you ask them how you are suppose to finish making your cake without eggs they respond, “We don’t care just get it done.” You proceed to go get the eggs yourself but all the stores in town are out of eggs. You even try going directly to local farms and all of their chickens and eggs are nowhere to be found. You can’t even find a chicken on the side of the road. What would you do now? How would you feel if you weren’t given all the ingredients to succeed and whenever you ask for the one thing you need they give you something you already have and won’t use for a long time?
I agree to pick the best available in the first round but the problem here is that Penix wasn’t the best available. Brock Bowers and Rome Odunze were available. The Falcons are horrible at running their business. @Volprofch05 can attest to thatAgain, it’s a business. Take the best player available when you get a chance to pick. Believe the issue with Falcons fans is that defense needs addressed not offensive players.I agree to pick the best available in the first round but the problem here is that Penix wasn’t the best available. I don’t think the defense was that bad. They ranked 11th in the NFL. The offense averaged less than 19ppg which was a huge problem. A lot of that can be attributed to the turnovers. They needed help rushing the QB and at WR and chose to bypass both of those options. I really do like Penix as a QB but their roster management is spectacularly awful. They could have spent that money they used on Cousins elsewhere if they were going to draft a QB. Horrible mismanagement of their salary cap.Believe the issue with Falcons fans is that defense needs addressed not offensive players.
