Mariners and Astros begin a 3 game series with the Mariners currently 5 games back. Mariners lead the season series 6-4 and would own the tiebreaker for the division with 1 win this series. They practically need to sweep this series and their last series with the As, and hope that Cleveland takes 2 of 3 from the Astros.

Padres and Dodgers begin a 3 game series with the Padres currently 3 games back. Padres lead the season series 7-3 and already won the tiebreaker for the division. Dodgers need 2 wins to clinch. Padres need to win at least 3 games and hope the Dodgers lose at least 3 games.

Orioles and Yankees begin a 3 game series with the Orioles currently 6 games back. Orioles lead the season series 6-4 and would own the tiebreaker for the division with 1 win this series. Yankees can clinch with 1 win. Orioles have to win out and hope the Yankees lose out.

Mets are 5 games back of the Phillies. Phillies own the division tiebreaker 7-6 so the Mets have to win out and hope the Phillies lose out. Phillies can clinch with 1 win.

AL and NL Central have already been won by Cleveland and the Brewers.

Bc the Dallas Cowboys (1970s -2023) always won week after week (98%) their games & were promoted on TV for many years as "America's Team" for decades and some people took offense to that fact & hated the Cowboys for being consistent winners. Stephen A. Smith is nothing but a big loud mouth Cowboys hater who has a TV platform on ESPN along w/the likes of another big loud mouth Michael Wilbon on PTI & says hateful things each time they have a chance to trash them. It is what it is. There has been Detroit Lions haters for years & they laughed at the Lions for decades for being such losers until all of a sudden they started winning some games & they are the new love child of the media for them to promote.

Stephen A. used to cover the Eagles and I believe is a Steelers fan if you asked him. Wilbon is a Redskins fan. So that’s where the ingrained hatred comes from imo.

I think the Tigers will be the 5 seed whenever the season ends and face off against the Orioles. Tigers finish with the Rays and White Sox while the Royals finish with the Nationals and Braves. Tigers will go 5-1 while the Royals go 4-2.
