Hello VN Members on the night that most likely the Dodgers sweep a great Yankees team in New York City to win the 2024 World Series.

I don’t see the Yankees winning 4 consecutive games to win the World Series in 7 games.
They haven’t lead a game since FreeMan’s grand slam, and that’s been a drawback that they haven’t been able to overcome despite their best efforts to compete to win games 2 and 3.

I did confidently say the Yankees would win a competitive World Series in 7 games before the 2024 World Series began, however the results of the first 3 World Series games has convinced me that it won’t happen.

Hopefully the next time the Braves have a HOF still in his prime they won’t even allow another team to be in consideration for signing him. Should’ve locked him up the season prior to his free agency season. They’ve done a great job locking up the other talent long term but that was the one guy they literally couldn’t afford to let go and yet they did. He was never going to be Chipper Jones but he was a notch below him for me and that says a lot because Chipper was my favorite baseball player ever. Always happy for his success no matter where it’s at because he brought so much joy to this Braves fan but it is bitter sweet seeing him do it in another uniform.
