I had to put my favorite dog (Abby) to sleep over a year ago now. They get too old & can't function anymore. Rather than keep her in pain w/no remedy to help her the vet said itWe lost our dog of 12 years nearly 2 months ago to the day. I know it’s not the same as losing your wife but I wake up sometimes and go to grab his leash first thing sometimes and realize he’s no longer here. Death is inevitable for us all but it doesn’t make it any easier to move on. Whenever you have someone in your life that was good for you, it’s hard to cope with. I hope we can all find peace in time of grief. Prayer has helped me come to peace with loss and bad times. We will meet our loved ones again in heaven, just have to try our best to live our life to the fullest and wait for that reunion. That’s what they would want. Give Him all of your burdens and everything is in His hands. All will be alright
Yeah I don’t think we will be getting a new dog for awhile either. It was worse on our son. We had our dog before our son but our son had him his entire life. Called him his brother. We all know what we sign up for whenever we get pets though. Still, I cried like a little baby when we lost him. Best pet we will ever have. Never thought I would do that over an animal.I had to put my favorite dog (Abby) to sleep over a year ago now. They get too old & can't function anymore. would be best at this time to do it. I thought about getting another dog to replace
her with but I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
I had two big dogs about 70-80 lbs each. When they can't walk anymoreHaving a puppy around would be a trip. My 8 year old rat/russell is a trip. Always with me, keeping me between the lines!
See the value to my long replies and babble? I honestly risking "over sharing" outweighs people having to scroll past my stuff. I hesitated before asking what your eating situation and habits were, but didn't this time.Y'all remember me telling you about her stroke & all. @cobbwebb0710 is the last one that asked me about her sometime back. I'm just now getting around breaking the news about it. I didn't know how to share the news w/the Dugout Crew for awhile.
You just say whatever the heck you have to say. We all love & accept you here.See the value to my long replies and babble? I honestly risking "over sharing" outweighs people having to scroll past my stuff. I hesitated before asking what your eating situation and habits were, but didn't this time.
I've wondered that for all of you. I've wondered about everyone's personal situation here because I figured "they all know each other and I'm an outsider and they probably don't want to talk about these kinds of things twice or three times and now here I come in, and start raising questions. After over a year here, I realized they either don't do that here or already did that and that I should mind my own business, but food, what we eat and whom we eat it with really says a lot about what goes on in our daily or just weekly lives.
I think you and @chuckiepoo would be awesome neighbor or incredible online friends.
