I seem to recall 17 out of the past 34 national championships going to 6 different SEC teams since 1992. And 14 out of 18 since 2006. And even in a down year there are still 2 SEC teams alive for a national championship. I hate to break your heart but the SEC is still the best conference in America. I don’t know how you can factor in these bowl games with all this transfer and NIL nonsense as your way of justifying anything. Kids aren’t putting forth their maximum effort in these meaningless games whenever they have one foot out the door. The CFP is a different discussion but all the others I don’t put any stock into like I used to.
