I remember the day of the storm and wasn't too happy with my parents because they kept me home that day because it was going to snow 1-3".
In other words, in the morning before school, there wasn't any snow on the ground at all. So I wanted to go to school and play in the snow that was coming. I clearly remember my parents telling me, "It's not the school's job to love and protect you, that's OUR job" and I remember my dad saying he wasn't going to work and told his people they could work from home because IF it snowed, they'd be stranded at work.
My mom convinced Jason's parents that he could spend the day with us, if they wanted to keep Jason home. Jason spent the next couple of days at our house because his parents went to work and couldn't get home once it snowed.
We had had so much fun sledding down the hill on my street once it became ice covered.
That's the last time I remember getting any significant snow. I also remember watching the traffic mess on TV that evening.
I also remember this video and bobblehead coming out a few years later:
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee right-handed pitcher Karlyn Pickens was recognized among the nation's best college softball players entering the 2025 season as one
I woke up this morning thinking that game was all just a dream but sadly it was not. I’d rather have a week’s worth of explosive diarrhea from Nam cuisine than to see that again.
