Hooray! The government will make us all equal.

I wonder if they are looking into nursing, education, nutritional science, whatever they call home economics now, etc.

What are the numbers in other departments? Specifically humanities... it seems to me that women outnumber men there. As stated in the article, it comes down to preference.

I believe female students outnumber male students overall in college.

At UAB, it's about 56% female.

I believe you are right. It was that way undergrad at Florida and in law school it was I believe close to 60-40.

This sounds like a great idea, thank god I already graduated!

Title IX Takes on Science | Popular Science

This is an awful idea. This insinuates that science is discriminating against women -- unfounded. The science community is in high demand for educated/trained persons -- Title IX will do nothing more than cut back on a field already in need of more persons.

I don't understand this at all....nearly all of my upper level chemistry classes are over half female.

just don't touch, or think about touching, or look, or think about looking. you'll be sued, arrest and be branded. unless you where an hussein obama sticker, then you should have your pick. i'm ordering my shirt now.
