Guess UT fans around the globe adopt that attitude tomorrow night for Florida-Auburn. Can't say as I blame you.

I know UT fans hate 'bama (for obvious reasons), but what's the usual scoop on feelings between the Vols and the War Eagles? As I say, tomorrow night I know you will all be rooting for them.

But of course, I must conclude with "Go ye Mighty Gators!!"

I hate the War Damn Eagle Plainsmen Tigers just as much as I do UF. UGA would be just above them and the "Mighty" Crimson Tide tops the list. Also, I don't see UF losing two SEC games, so I am just hoping for a good game between UF and Auburn.

Go Ye Mighty Vols!!!

I NEVER pull for any other SEC team UNLESS their win, directly helps Tennessee.

So, if this game didn't matter, I wouldn't care who won.

I will say that as I watch one of those games I don't care about, I sometimes decide based on what happens during the game that I want someone to LOSE more than the other one!

:p

I hate the aubie tigers/war eagles/i can't pick a mascot and stick with it. not to mention that whiny coach they have...he sux...I dislike him even more than I despised9sp?) spurrier.

Personally LG - I hope you guys win out, even if you loose to UA I don't think you loose to any other SEC teams, so what is the point in hoping that you lose to Aubie. Quite frankly I would rather see you guys represent the SEC as an undefeated rather than a victim of your conference schedule.

I can't really pull for either one. Speaking only for myself, I've always been a little ambivalent about Auburn. May the best team win!

Go ye mighty Gators, and come back with a mighty Loss. Law the worst the Gators can do is 2nd place Sat. If gators win, WOW that will be a nice streak of teams to beat.

I can identify with that, big time. If I feel like a team is getting victimized by refs, I always start pulling for them (unless, of fourse, the victimizer is the Gators!)

Kind words. But I just don't know if we can get it done. If we do win this game, though, you'd have to say we have as good a chance as anyone out there to win the whole thing.

It would also be nice to have next weekend off to heal for the UGA-USC-FSU stretch run.

I got mixed feelings about this one. a) the Gators need to lose to help us. b) Aub. seems to have our number ever time we play them-so they must die =)

I see reasons to be happy with either outcome- call me an optimist I guess.

Trust me it took ll i had to write it out, I think i threw up in my mouth. However looking at the schedule...Auburn and UGa represent your biggest threats right now and we all know what happened to the Dawgs :) . If you can manage to handle USC ....it looks like you should be just fine.

I just think that it makes us look that much better; seeing as so far this year our game was the closest call for the might gators.

When Auburn and TN played every year, it was a very heated rivlary...Basically Florida replaced auburn as that 2nd huge rival with the divisional split. TN and Aub played some classic games over the years, with a few of them in the 80's and it was only fitting that TN and Auburn got to play each other in both school's 1st appearance in the SEC CG...

but, that was many moons ago...War Eagle! only cause it helps our cause should they win, if only just a little bit. other wise, i can't stand 'em.

I think Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, and LSU could beat Ohio State.
i don't know about that...Florida/OSU would be a really good game. their defensive speed against that fast OSU offense would be a great match up. this would be the best game of the four.

I think our D would get lit up against OSU's offense...we don't have an answer for Teg Ginn, and neither do a lot of teams. Having said that, it think our offense would match up pretty well against their d....the best offense they've faced was TX, who i think is a bit overrated. i think this would be a very high scoring game either way.

Auburn doesn't have enough offense to keep pace with OSU's...
LSU...only if it were played in Baton Rouge or a neutral site would LSU have a chance...if played in Columbus, J. Russell folds like a cheap suit.

Florida yes-only cuz' defense wins championships.

you would have to combine the other 3 to get a complete team that could win against OSU.

Yeah, I'd have to reject that null hypothesis. OSU isn't as unbeatable as everyone thinks. Put them through an SEC schedule and they lose at least 2 games.

Let me spell it out for you then...of the 4 teams that you listed the Gators are the closest to a complete team.

Like Jake stated - our D against OSU's offense would get ugly in a hurry. Of the teams you mention none have shown to be as sound as OSU in all aspects of the game, and as of right now the Gators are the closest of those 4 to a complete team.

Thanks for spelling it out... I don't know how I would've understood if you didn't do that. Yes, Ohio State is unbeatable. They are the best team in the history of college football.

I disagree. I think that any of the 4 teams mentioned could compete with, if not beat, OSU on any given day.

I think our D would do OK against OSU. They would give our offense a chance to win the game. The big thing would be covering the "speedster" Mr. Ginn, but J. Wade is one of the fastest athletes in the country (Football, Basketball, Track) so I don't think his speed would be that big of a problem.

I confess I know very little about OSU. I was not impressed with the win over Texas like some were just because of the 'horns inexperience at key position of QB with Young having left early. Had they beaten them at end of season, after new QB had a chance to mature some, then I'd be more inclined to give them respect for it. It's the kind of win that will look better on paper at end of year than it really was.

and Iowa was overrated...that game got all the hype because it was on ABC and ESPN covered to no end....i for one was not surprised at the outcome whatsoever.

OSU is good, and they do deserve the no. 1 ranking, but they are not unbeatable.

Florid would give them the best game cause of that defense. they have the speed to match up against their offense.
