I was lurking around some Dawgs forums, to see what they had to say about the game yesterday. Several different posters mentioned that our field was in sorry shape and that may have contributed to the knee injuries suffered by a couple of their guys, who were not touched when they got hurt. Is their any truth to that or are they just butthurt that they lost a few good players? Either way, I wish their guys a speedy recovery.

UT would go to the depths of hell if it meant keeping this field in absurdly good condition. If the field were noticeably bad, I think we would have seen injuries on both sides of the ball. Regardless, I do wish them a speedy recovery as well.

No, the field was fine. They are just looking for excuses. I hope all of their injured players have a speedy recovery.

You could tell the field was chewed up in a few places, but it was hardly in bad shape. I hated to see those guys get hurt, but blaming a natural grass field for those injuries is dumber than dirt.

That must be why Jeff Driskel got hurt playing against us, too. Never mind that it was in the Swamp. Better go ahead and throw Todd Gurley's injury against LSU in there as well. Anything to distract themselves from almost getting embarrassed by a team they should have beat by 20.

I played soccer on that field once. It was impossible, because it was sloped so heavily, that any pass going out wide, no one was able to catch up with it. Of course, that was in the days of astroturf, so it was absurdly fast. Even with turf, the drainage is incredible on that field.

I think Georgia should be looking at the kids they recruit and conditioning . Maybe they didn't think they had to warm up against us!

On a side note Gurley was jumping around waving a towel on the side line watching these guys giving their all and getting hurt.

Can't blame the field.
