You're sitting on the couch on Sunday afternoon and start flipping channels and you switch to a network that is in a commercial, and you want to see what sport they are showing . . . only to be disappointed when they come back from the break and you see a man on skates wearing scarves?!? :focus:

Never again . . . I designate this the official Figure Skating Avoidance thread where the good citizens of Volnation who have the misfortune of coming across this complete waste of airtime can post to warn others to save the thumb power on their remote controls and avoid these channels.

Right now it's on CBS AND NBC?!

There is no reason why figure skating should be on ESPN. Now if it were all nude hot female skaters, I would reconsider my stance on this issue. But until the NHFFSA (Nude Hot Female Figure Skaters Association) starts, I think it should be restricted to the WE, Oxygen, Hallmark or Lifetime channel.

they are starting to shove figure skating and "ice dancing" down our throats in preperation for the olympics. I dont see why. They arent gonna get any new viewers. Only women watch that stuff.

I am, however, for a Figure Skating Bloopers special, where all they show are people spinning a quarter of a turn too much, or too little, and ending up discovering why they call it "ice," or where the girl MAYBE shouldn't have had that cheese whopper and the little scrawny chap in the froofy-collared shirt can't hold her up any longer.

Shut up, you KNOW you are on the edge of your seat too, just waiting for the fall. Admit it and move on.
