This is just my thoughts on what we have. From what I've seen of them Dobbs, North, and Sutton will be playmakers for at least the next 2 years. If they really did burn Dobbs redshirt because they think Ferguson is better, then my hope is for a QB controversy, but the good kind. With the Berry twins, Todd Kelly Jr., and Dillon Bates plus Hurd. Not to mention Creamer. Plus if he keeps up like he is, a plethera of good players with them. I really like where I see us by year 3 of Coach Jones. All it takes is a good foundation. We as much as anyone else are a part of that foundation. So, while I am also in deep sadness about the losses we have suffered, I see light in the distance and it is good. So try to keep your heads up and stop posting all this garbage about how terrible are coaches are and how are seniors shouldn't even be playing. Just relax and look to the future because it's bright.

This would be one wild QB controversy

We can win a lot by getting rid of the read option up the middle

Did you ever think that maybe the playcalling is limited because we have a freshman running the offense and therefore there are a limited number of plays the coaches may feel he and the rest of the team can competently execute?!

I've been telling people 2015 is the year we make a run for the East if Butch is really our guy. I'm not convinced that Dobbs has won the job for next year yet, but whoever it is should have much more experience by then, Hurd in his 2nd year, North and receivers with 2 years, O-line with experience after a rebuilding year next year. On defense, we'll continue to get more athletes that can actually position themselves to make a tackle. And the 3rd year with the same coaches, not having to relearn anything. 2015, you guys.

Dobbs may or may not win the QB start next Fall. North is making great catches in traffic, but has yet to get any separation against SEC cornerbacks. Sutton has made a few big plays because opponents run so many plays his way (another way of saying he gets beaten allot). Aside from that, let's not pin all our hopes on legacies. We need big linemen who can move and speed, speed, and more speed.

Impossible to predict next Falls starting Vol squad or coaching staff. No position is a lock as that creates an atmosphere of complacency.

I agree with the OP, as bad as it stinks all we can do is wait. On another note I know we have played a very tough schedule, but from my point of view I think we lack in certain areas other than Speed, one example would be the ability to come off a block, we just do not have it. I can only hope the new Men coming in can offer the ability to perform at the level we hope for. I think things are bright for us in the near future.
