Seems like the national sentiment is that this team is a one-off enigma, a novel team that has found a party trick to put teams on the ropes.

I know this much:
1) Huepel’s scheme, combined with how this staff develops talent and instills confidence, is a rare bird. This isn’t a gimmick- it’s a smarter type of football that combines great coaching with instincts and analytics.

2) If this success continues for another season Huepel will be highly-sought by the NFL. He can be one of the college greats if he stays and I hope he’s taken note of what’s happened when other successful coaches have moved on to chase rainbows.

3) As success continues into the future I hope Huepel remains flexible and adapts as offenses continue to evolve. In the meantime I’ll keep giggling with delight as we sip on our victims tears.
